2) Documents submission.
It is necessary that you send by e-mail to Academic Cooperation the following documents:
- Bachelor´s Degree (and Master´s Degree if you apply for a PhD)
- Completion Certificate with grades (1 to 10 scale, if your school has another scale, please add a letter for grades convertion; to apply for a scholarship you need an 8 average)
- Curriculum Vitae
- ID with photograph

3) File evaluation.
The Posgraduate Admission Colege will analize your documents and will make a candidates preselection.

4) Preparatory studies.
Most posgraduate programs have preparatory studies as requirement for admission, but since the scholarship doesn´t covers these expenses, you may apply for the admission exam without this requirement. Some preparatory courses are on line (for further information review the posgraduate webpage, you may find the link below at this webpage).

5) Admission exam shipment.
If you get preselected, the Posgraduate Commission will define the modality for the admission exam application.
a) Through internet: The Posgraduate Commission will define the date and hour in which you will present the exam.
b) Through the Mexican Embassy: The IPN will send the exam to the Embassy in your country and the Embassy will define the date and hour in which you will present the exam.

6) Exam evaluation.
As soon as the Posgraduate receives back the exam, the Posgraduate Commission will proceed to evaluate it and will let you know the results.

If you are from a non-speaking English country you will need an English international certification as TOEFL. If you don´t have it, you may apply the IPN English exam on line.

8) Interview.
Most Posgraduate Commissions ask for an interview which may be through internet. The Posgraduate Commission establishes the appointment for the interview.

9) Acceptance letter.
Once you have done all the process, if you are selected, the Posgraduate Commission will give you an Acceptance letter, which you will need to start the Mexican visa proceedings.

10) Scholarships.
The IPN posgraduate programs have two scholarship options:
a) Conacyt scholarship: If the posgraduate program is adscribed to the High Quality Program you may have this scholarship and the application is done once you are enrolled. (2 application periods: January-February and August-September).
b) SRE scholarship: For the rest of the posgraduate programs you may apply for a scholarship from the Mexican Government at the Mexican Embassy according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) annoucement, which is published just once a year in July.

11) Enrollment.
Depending on the posgraduate annoucement, you will start courses in August or January. You have to enroll personally and submitt your original documents that are required by each IPN school with an apostille from the Mexican Embassy.

All courses are given in Spanish, so although the admission exam in most cases will be in English, you have to learn Spanish. You have to consider that if you already have Spanish knowledgements it will be easier to get admitted.
